Greenup after harvest is similar to conventional dormant alfalfas, but when growth begins, it’s at an accelerated rate. The Fast Growth Trait can produce an extra six inches of growth at 21 days and reach harvest maturity 3 to 5 days ahead of other alfalfas. - When direct seeded in the spring, the Fast Growth Trait begins to express on the recovery of the second crop. Summer or fall seeding exhibits Fast Growth in the second year.
