Product Description

A true fall dormancy 10 variety with high, stable yield potential and broad geographic adaptation. A synthetic variety comprised of germplasm selected for spring and fall height and adaptation to the Southwest U.S., Mexico and South America. Screened for high seed yield. A1086 has been entered in 7 yield trials in the U.S. and Mexico and has a 15% yield advantage over the public variety Cuf 101. Early testing indicates that A1086 has salt tolerance equal to the commercial variety Salado. A1086 is well adapted to a wide range of soil types and the management packages of the true nondormant production areas. Growers can expect aggressive, season long, stable yields with winter productivity and without the big summer slump associated with some varieties. Responds when pushed with a balanced input and a production management system.

Field Appearance at Bud Stage
